When you walk through the doors of West Elementary, we hope you feel it right away—this is a place where students are known, encouraged, challenged, and loved.

Our mission is to create and promote a safe, positive environment in which all students receive quality instruction and opportunities for academic, social, and emotional growth. Every decision we make is centered on helping our students become confident learners, kind classmates, and successful individuals.

We believe great schools are built on consistency. Students thrive when expectations are clear, responses are predictable, and everyone is working toward the same goals. That's why you'll find consistent expectations for behavior and academics, common language throughout our building, and honest, respectful communication between staff, students, and families.

Learning at West is engaging, meaningful, and designed for every child. Our teachers provide high-quality instruction aligned to Missouri Learning Standards while creating classrooms where students are thinking, talking, collaborating, and actively participating. Through a variety of teaching strategies and differentiated support, we meet students where they are and help them continue to grow.

Most of all, we care deeply about kids. We celebrate successes, encourage perseverance, and believe every child has unique strengths and unlimited potential.
